Cow aged over 48 months enters food supply without being tested for BSE

The Agency has been notified that a 58 months old cow has entered the food supply without being tested for BSE. BSE testing is mandatory for cattle slaughtered for human consumption at over 48 months of age.
Imported cow aged over 30 months not tested for BSE

The Agency has been notified that a cow aged over 30 months and imported from the Czech Republic has not been tested for BSE.

The Agency has been notified that meat from three imported cows aged over 30 months, which were not tested for BSE, has entered the food supply.

The Agency has been notified that meat from a bullock aged over 48 months has entered the food supply without being tested for BSE.

The Agency has been informed that meat from three cows reared in the same herd as one that later developed BSE has entered the human food chain. Meat from the cow that had developed BSE did not enter the food chain.
Carcass of cow aged over 30 months exported without test for BSE

The Agency has been notified that the carcass of a cow aged 34 months and 16 days has been exported without having been tested for BSE. At the time the cow was slaughtered, BSE testing was mandatory for cattle slaughtered for welfare reasons at over 24 months of age.

The Agency has been notified that a heifer aged two days over thirty months has entered the food supply without having been tested for BSE.
